This debut novel is filled with descriptions of a landscape so lovely, you're sure it can't be real-- until you recognize the setting of our own Finger Lakes and Southern Tier regions. Each time you connect a Toppledor location to its Twin Tiers equivalent, nostalgia deepens until you can't resist time spent in reminiscing.
The imaginative vocabulary captures the reader's attention like a carefully crafted puzzle, which provides a truly enjoyable challenge for lovers of language. And once you crack the code, the plot and characters unfold in a fully entertaining tale of everyday life as it almost could be, if we were only as dedicated to one another as the denizens of the Bigger world.
